THE ULTIMATE COMMUNITY ORGANIZER

Mark Shields, otherwise known as the original Chris Mathews - blue collar Catholic Dem, made the following remarkable statement this morning on Washington Report. "Remember, Jesus was a community organizer and Pontius Pilate was a Governor."

Such comments are one reason why even devil worshipers have difficulty accepting Democrats as fellow "people of faith." You simply have to believe in nothing but political expediency to say such things. It was also particularly unfair to direct this semi-blasphemous bon mot to Charles Krauthammer, uber Zionist, ex-Canadian Psychiatrist and Orthodox Jew. Generally I wouldn't defend Krauthammer as he is a neo-con war monger. But asking him to respond to this is like asking me to certify whether something is in accordance with the Talmud. It's a cheap trick.

As an astute reader of my last blog post will note, community organizers are creatures of the power structure. They are essentially political charlatans acting as middle men between the political power structure and the poor. So Jesus was in no sense a community organizer unless one believes that Jesus of Nazareth was actually in league with Pilate and the Roman authorities.

Student's of Western Civilization I will know that Pilate was nothing remotely like an American Governor. He was in fact a Roman Prefect. Prefects administered small portions of unimportant provinces. Judaea was a backwater of the Roman province of Syria and was considered a hardship post. In other words, Pilate was an appointed colonial official. Sarah Palin on the other hand, is a freely elected, popular Governor of a tough, hard to govern American State.

The nuns who tried to teach Mark Shields History would be deeply ashamed of him at this point. Whoever tried to teach him ethics probably gave up long before they died.
